Q: Is the Nursing Program accredited?

A: Yes. The program has been continuously accredited since 1978 by the National League for Nursing and is currently accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. (61 Broadway, 33rd Floor New York, NY 10006. Telephone: 1-800-669-1656)

Q: What is your pass rate on the NCLEX-RN?

A: The passing rate on the national nursing licensing examination has averaged 90%.

Q: Can I transfer from your program to a four-year program?

A: Yes. The FLCC nursing program has five transfer articulation agreements for students who wish to pursue a BSN. Joint admission agreements are in place with four colleges/universities.

Q: Where will I be able to work after graduation?

A: Graduates are employed in many area hospitals and community settings as well as throughout the United States.

Q: Are there any pre-requisites for admission to the program?

A: The following are required for admission:

• High school or equivalency diploma
• Evidence of physical and emotional health.
• Biology (regents recommended)
• Math (algebra recommended)
• Chemistry

(FLCC offers a pre-nursing program where students can satisfy these requirements).

Q: Is there an on-campus Nursing Club for students?

A: Yes. Nursing Club is available to nursing and pre-nursing students. Nursing Club performs various health-oriented service projects in the community. The club meets monthly.
