The
Environmental Conservation Department at Finger Lakes Community College
offers diverse programs which enable you to develop a broad environmental
awareness. FLCC offers two-year degree programs and one-year certificate
programs to help you pursue a career in the environmental, conservation,
and horticulture fields.
Upon completing a degree program, students
have the option of entering the job market or transferring to a four-year
college or university. Extensive field experiences in the Finger Lakes
Region, the Adirondack Mountains, the Florida Everglades, Alaska,
and various national parks are offered as part of all degree programs.
Other unique features include a conservation field camp emphasizing
wildlife, fish and land management, a 250-acre campus with a nature
trail where outdoor classes are held, a College arboretum, an on-campus
Fish Culture Center, greenhouses, and three large boats for fishery
and limnology field work on the Finger Lakes.um.
