Ability to Benefit (ATB)

The ATB option allows eligible students to be admitted to FLCC while actually working towards obtaining a GED.  After successfully completing specific requirements, students will be eligible to petition NYS to issue a GED while concurrently working on completing their FLCC degree.  To be eligible for the program you must:

  • be 18 years old or your high school class must have graduated
  • Agree to follow course placement requirements for enrolling in a combination of courses which are designed to help ensure success at FLCC
  • Achieve a minimum score on tests of reading, writing and arithmetic skills

Walk-In Ability to Benefit Testing

FLCC is offering Ability to Benefit testing, by appointment, for the Fall 2008 semester.  Please refer to the schedule listed below, and then call 585-394-3500, ext. 7604 to make an appointment.

  • June 17 @ 10 am
  • July 14 @ 12 pm

Testing is also offered, by appointment, at the Geneva (315-789-6701) and Wayne (315-331-9098) Extension Centers. Please call for dates and times.

*There will be no testing for Ability to Benefit during the week of February 18-22.
