Ways to Give to FLCC
There are many ways to support Finger Lakes Community College. However, you choose to support the college, your generosity ensures that the FLCC Foundation is the Right Place to Give!
Your gift can make the difference in a promising student's ability to achieve academic success, support innovative faculty development; acquire new technology; or launch a new community program.
For in-depth information on any aspect of giving, please contact our office at (585)785-1541 or email foundation@flcc.edu.
Annual Fund/Alumni Fund
The FLCC Annual Fund (for friends, employees and retirees of the College) and the Alumni Fund (for those who have attended CCFL/FLCC) provides vital ongoing support of the programs and services that enhance the educational experience of our students. Although New York State makes operating support available, private support remains essential for the college to grow. Funds continue to support scholarships, faculty and staff development, equipment, and many other valuable programs.
Annual gifts of $1,000 and above qualify donors for membership in the President’s Circle.
Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted gifts give the FLCC Foundation the most flexibility to meet changing or urgent needs at the college such as educational material acquisitions, state-of-the-art technology and equipment.
Restricted Gifts
If you wish to designate your annual fund/alumni fund gift to a specific scholarship, program, department or priority, please indicate this when making your gift. You can contribute to an existing fund or create a new one. For more information on current scholarship programs, current FLCC offerings, or to create a new scholarship, please contact the Resource Development Office at (585)785-1541 or foundation@flcc.edu.
Some existing programs that would benefit from a restricted gift include:
Greenhouse Expansion Project
The goal of the project is to equip FLCC with a state of the art greenhouse 50% larger than the current facility! The new greenhouse will provide our students, professionals, and the community with a spacious, scientifically controlled learning environment allowing for more precise experiment outcomes and new learning opportunities such as the introduction of aquaponics and integrated pest management. Several biotechnology and biology courses will have access to the expanded facility. In addition, the new greenhouse will support the College’s mission as a community resource for Sonnenberg Gardens, the NYS Agricultural Experiment Station and other organization that offer programs to youth, professionals, and community members.
Phi Theta Kappa
The Alpha Epsilon Chi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at FLCC has undertaken a special fundraising effort, Celebrate the Past…Secure the Future, to underwrite the cost of travel to conferences, chapter programming costs, service projects, and scholarships. Celebrate the Past…Secure the Future will culminate with a gala celebration for the 25th anniversary of Alpha Epsilon Chi in summer 2006. This funds ensures that all students for generations to come will have the opportunities the organization offers.
