If you live in the surrounding area, the Geneva Center is close to home and easily accessible. It provides a wonderful educational experience in a small personalized atmosphere. You can start with a full-time schedule or just a course, and all of the services you need to succeed are available.
Q: Can I receive financial aid for courses at the Geneva Center?
Yes, financial aid is available for both full and part time studies depending on eligibility.
Q: What does matriculation mean?
A student is matriculated when they apply and are accepted into the College.
Q: I don't understand how the admissions process works. Can the Geneva Center help?
The Geneva Center has professionals who can help you with the paper work and answer your questions.
Q: I am not sure what I want to study and have questions about my major. What should I do?
Make an appointment at the Geneva Center with John Cromartie, Geneva Center Administrator, and he can advise you.
Q: Are the credits I earn at the Geneva Center transferable?
Yes, you are earning FLCC credit just as you would at the Canandaigua campus. FLCC credit transfers to other SUNY and private colleges.
Q: How do I get my books?
The Book Store will have representatives at the Geneva Center at the beginning of the term so that you can purchase books and supplies.
Q: Where do I park?
The Geneva Center has a parking lot associated with the building. Additionally, there are parking spaces on neighboring streets.
Q: Can I earn a degree at the Geneva Center?
Generally, you are able to complete your first year of courses for degree programs offered at the Center and sometimes a portion of your second year. You will need to attend the Canandaigua campus in order to finish all your requirements.
Q: Can I mail forms to the Canandaigua campus from the Geneva Center?
Yes, you may leave your forms or mail at the Geneva Center to be forwarded to the Canandaigua campus.
Q: Can I register for any FLCC classes at the Geneva Center?
Yes, you may register for Geneva classes or those offered on the Canandaigua campus, Newark or other sites.
Q: What if I want to change my schedule?
The Geneva Center Staff can help you with the process of changing your schedule. You may also change your schedule on-line through WebAdvisor. Visit www.flcc.edu and click on WebAdvisor/Course Schedules.
Q: Can I use the Geneva Center's computers if I am not taking classes at the Center?
If you are a registered student at Finger Lakes and have applied for a computer account, you may use the computers at any of our locations.
