Workforce Training Solutions
Professional Studies & Continuing Education designs training programs to help companies remain current and competitive. We provide many ways to address workforce training needs:
- www.ed2go.com/flcc-pro: Online training for groups of employees: Your employees complete a course at the pace suited to their learning style while you provide in-house mentoring to develop the new skills. Access is via access code/s. Contact Carol Ann Joki at Professional Studies and Continuing Education to talk about creating an Affiliate Portal for your business. - Online Individual Non-Credit Courses: Regardless of the training topic or issue, there is probably a corresponding online course available through the FLCC Online Course Portal. For more information or to register, contact us at 585-394-3500, x7660 or ce@flcc.edu.
- Non-Credit Audit Courses: Take an FLCC credit course as a non-credit student at less cost. Check over FLCC’s credit courses, select a course that you want to attend as a non-credit student, and contact Professional Studies & Continuing Education to make arrangements.
Nationally Certified Professional in Customer Service
A nationally recognized certificate from the National Retail Federation provides an industry-developed credential of knowledge and skills. It helps employers recruit and retain excellent employees. The customer service skills standards used to develop this assessment examined entry level through first-line supervisory positions in retail, wholesale, personal services, and real estate. The certificate:
- Enhances workplace skills and credibility
- Brings added value to your business in the eyes of customers
- Prepares participants to take the on-line exam through the National Retail Federation Educational Foundation
- Is valid for three years.

ServSafe National Certification
ServSafe is the National Restaurant Association's certified food safety program. The training addresses food storage, preparation, cleaning and sanitizing, cooking, and personal hygiene.
- Level 1 training is recommended for managers, cooks, and chefs. Receiving this certificate is an excellent way to enhance opportunities for advancement in the food service field. It is currently required by the Department of Health in Monroe County in all food service establishments.
- Level 2 is recommended for current or potential food service employees. It trains in the basics of the areas listed above. FLCC has a reciprocal agreement with Monroe County Health Department for the Level 2 training.
