Whether it’s on the playing
field or in the classroom, at Finger Lakes Community College we are
dedicated to helping you succeed. Our winning combination of athletics
and academics can help you develop as a student and as an athlete.
Finger
Lakes offers challenging athletic opportunities---eleven intercollegiate
sports programs led by experienced, student-dedicated coaches.
Teams
for both men and women compete in cross country, track & field, soccer, basketball,
and lacrosse. Men and women also compete on our nationally recognized
woodsmen team. In addition we offer a men’s baseball team
and a women’s softball team.
Many Finger Lakes students who transfer continue to play competitive
sports at four-year colleges and universities.
As
a non-scholarship member of the National Junior College Athletic
Association (NJCAA), Division III, and the Mid-State Athletic Conference,
Finger Lakes Community College competes against two-year institutions
throughout the state. The NJCAA promotes and supervises a national
program of college sports consistent with the educational objectives
of two-year colleges.
