The Outlook
If you have an interest in studying groups of people, FLCC’s Liberal Arts and Sciences degree program with an Advisement Area in Sociology is for you. With opportunities to examine your role in society, you’ll gain insight and knowledge from guest speakers and experienced faculty and learn the foundations to prepare you for transfer to a four-year institution.
The Graduates
Upon completing this program, you will be prepared for transfer to pursue a bachelor’s degree. The courses you will take in this program are equivalent to those offered during the freshman and sophomore years at most four-year colleges and universities. You will be prepared to pursue upper level study in Sociology, Social Work, Pre-law, or other related fields.
This degree is recognized in Transfer Articulation Agreements with a large number of public and private four-year institutions in New York state and across the nation.
