Jonathan Belec
Jonathan Belec serves as faculty in the Music Recording department at FLCC, and has worked at the College since 2006. Belec previously worked as a staff engineer for The Hit Factory recording studios in New York City and as a freelance engineer for the tri-state area and upstate New York. Belec earned a bachelor of science in sound recording technology from SUNY Fredonia. He has been classically trained on trombone and is currently a bassist, playing in the Rochester area. Belec has experience working with a wide variety of artists ranging from Dream Theater to Jennifer Lopez, and Matchbox Twenty to Kanye West. His continued experience working with a variety of people in the music business, along with a prominent background in studio installation, maintenance and session protocol, proves invaluable to the program.
